Many interesting places you should go to Lombok!

Mataram
The city of Mataram is the capital of Lombok. With with Ampenan, Cakranegara & Sweta these four small towns are the main business district of Lombok and are considered by many as one of the main city. An ancient port city, Mataram became the main activity in the administrative area. Government offices, universities, shops, banks and restaurants are all easily accessible in the district of Mataram. Hotel accommodation in Mataram is intended mainly for local businessmen and merchants. The heritage and culture of Lombok is easily visible in Mataram, antiques, traditional markets and the museum with priceless objects tell the story of the old days. Mataram is the capital of the province that has, in recent decades, have joined Ampenan, the port, Cakranegara and the province to become the largest urban complex. At about the early 18th century, Mataram was the residence of the crown prince of Karang Asem, a kingdom in southern Bali. The sovereign itself has its headquarters in Cakranegara. The royal palace is gone, but many of the old temples and pleasure gardens are still there. Lombok's largest Balinese temple is the Pura Meru in Cakranegara. Dedicated to the Hindu trinity, Brahma and Vishnu, it was built in 1720 by Anak Agung Made Karang, which has three patios. Three Pagoda as places of worship stand in a line from north to south in the inner courtyard. The one on the north is dedicated to Vishnu and has a roof with nine floors. The center is dedicated to Shiva, with 11 floors on the roof and it is the southernmost of Brahma with a seven-storey roof. Mayura is near Taman. Formerly part of the royal palace, it has set an artificial lake in the middle of a park. One path leads raised on the side of the pond with a pavilion built in the middle of the lake. In the old days, justice has been done and religious rites were conducted in the open-sided pavilion.

Taman Mayura
The Park Mayura is what remains once the existing Karang Asam kingdom of Bali, which the king AA Ngurah built in 1744. In the middle of a large pond is a structure called Balai Kambang who at the time worked as a legal court of justice and a hall for important meetings. Curiously, its shows both the Hindu architecture, as well as the Islamic influence, while nearly instead of stone statues are in the form of a Muslim hajji

Pura Meru
Another remaining vestige of the Asam Kingdom Karang is the temple Meru Cakranegara, near Mataram. The temple was built in 1720 during King AA Make the rule as a symbol of Hindu unity on the island of Lombok. Several structures located in the complex, each designated to operate for specific purposes, including 33 stalls beside the main temple.

Narmada
Taman Narmada, 11 kilometers east of Mataram, was built in 1727 by King Anak Agung Gede Ngurah Karang Asem as both a beautiful garden and the place of worship of Shiva. Its large pool it would Segara Anakan, on Lake Rinjani crater of the volcano, where they used to make offerings of value laying in the water. As has become too old to make the pilgrimage up to 3726 metres in the high mountains, he Narmada made to represent the mountains and the lake. Near the pond is a place of worship and a spring whose water is estimated to provide dedicated pilgrims eternal youth.

It is perhaps the only Hindu shrine in the world where Hindus and Muslims come to worship. At approximately 7 kilometres west of Narmada, it was built in 1714 and rebuilt in 1878 to symbolize harmony and unity between Hindus and Muslims Balinese Sasak people of the region, especially those who adhere to Lombok Wektu Telu single school of Islam. The Balinese temple is built on higher ground, behind the Muslim section in the complex. In the courtyard below is a spring in which pilgrims in the temple yard scene of a mock battle between Hindus and Muslims in troth parties that launch rice cakes to another.

It is a village of weavers south of Cakranegara. Lombok is known for his brilliant songket fabric grounds. People have been making over their careers for many generations. Sengkol, Pujut and Rambitan The time seems to have frozen in the three villages in the south of Lombok on the road connecting the capital to Kuta Beach. All the houses and barns were built in the old traditional style where life itself seems to be what it has always been. The arid landscape as this sector is impressive even in its hardness.

Batu Bolong Beach
Located at 9 km from Mataram dowtown, this beach has a huge rock with a hole in it. A Hindu temple is situated on the upper side and through the Straits of Lombok is the outline of my jestic Mount Agung in Bali. After sunbathing, relaxing and frolicking on this beautiful beach, try to stay until the end of the day to watch one of the most breathtaking sunsets that you have never seen slowly when the sun starts disappear behind Mount Agung with colors incredibly inflamed.

Senggigi Beach
Selaparang fairly close to the airport, and enough for the ferry from the port of Lembar arrival, the majority of visitors to Lombok usually begin their stay in Senggigi, Lombok's oldest and famous mos. A series of white sand beaches in small coves lined with palm trees, hugging the sides of steep hills sweep down to the sea, forming Senggigi. The views up and down the coast and extending to the sea as far as Bali are majestic. Swimming off the beach is safe and waves for surfers peeled to the left and right off the reef, which has just emerged from the main beach. The reef is also home to a variety of marine life and magnificent coral and is ideal for snorkeling and relaxing. Visit the very evocative shrine that sits on a black rock outcrop that extends into the sea Batu Bolong, a few kilometres from the centre of Senggigi. It can be quite charming when Hindu devotees make offerings at dusk and Senggigi presents one of its crimson sunsets to the silhouette of Mount Agung Bali weakly visible in the distance. Some restaurants and coffee houses of the line colorful main beach road. Two exit discopubs pulsating music until the wee hours, but in reality they do not disturb the laid-back and decidedly relaxed atmosphere of the place. Hotels in some of the major international and local chains have locations on the seafront with all the fancy trappings expected of luxury hotels. Cheaper accommodation is also available in the form of small bungalows comfortable.

It is also the most popular among the islanders Gilis. Over the years it has become the largest and most lively of the three. As basic accommodation, it also hosts a number of luxury hotels, restaurants on the seafront, bars and diving centers. The Gili Islands are just three small islands off the northwest coast of Lombok mainland. Gili Meno is the middle island and by far the most quiet with fewer hotels, as such, is the ideal place to visit when wishing to escape the crowd. With the basis for three stars, Gili Air is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs and clear waters, providing a haven for thousands of species of fish and turn it into a playground for divers and lovers of tuba . The beaches of Gili Air are fabulous.
